Yes. Sierra Steeltiles are designed with a ventilating air space between the roof surface and the roof deck. This air space will provide a beneficial barrier against the cold of winter and the heat of summer. Typical metal roofing and shingles are the opposite. They lay flat on the roof and are conductors of heat to the roof deck surface.
